Who's Bob?
Mara's favorite things to try to play with are the cords of a hair dryer and fan that are usually plugged in in our loft. She has even figured out that if she is going towards them that we will not be far behind and she books it with her army crawl when she sees us coming after her. A couple nights ago she started going to the cord and I came out of her bedroom to grab her. When I picked her up she said, "Bob." She said it plain as day. Aaron was sitting at the computer and we both laughed about it. Of course, she had to make another attempt to get the cords and once again I thwarted her and when I picked her up she said, "Bob." Aaron and I cracked up again. The third time it happened I said, "We have to get this on tape," and I ran downstairs to get the camcorder. Of course, the next time she was pulled away from the cords, no "Bob" was uttered. Go figure. So, we kept recording and the next time I pulled her away from the cords she said, "Bob," kind of under her breath and the camcorder didn't pick it up. Last night, the "Bob's" continued each time I snatched her away from the cords, but we were out of tape so we couldn't capture it on camera. I'm starting to think that "Bob" is Mara's version of a cuss word because she only says it when she's frustrated at being pulled away from the cords. Perfect. My 7 month old is cussing in baby talk. I knew I would have my hands full with this little one!

That is HYSTERICAL! I love it! BOB!
And she is SOOOOO cute! I love the faux-hawk!
You know who Bob is silly! Bob Collins at church!! :-)
Bob will be so proud - it is his goal to have every child's first word be BOB!!!
That's hilarious because the first night that Mara was saying "Bob," Aaron said, "We have to tell Bob at church that Mara can say his name. He'll love it." LOL. I guess you two thought the same thing:)
