What was your favorite age?

We celebrated my dad’s birthday on Sunday and at the party I asked a few family members this question, “What was your favorite age?” Here are the responses:

Mom- Age 17 (Here's her reason, in her own words) My 17th year was special because that is when I started feeling good about myself (not conceded but confident). I had a wonderful group of friends, a boyfriend and classes that I was doing well in. I could drive and my parents were very trusting (ha). Life was good, I had no real problems—probably thought I did but didn’t really. Music was good, my friends and I danced, laughed and dreamed together. Most of our dreams came true as we grew. Good times were had!

Dad- Age 21 because that’s when he got his pilot’s license

Grandma Thomas- The years that she had her children, which would be around 18-21 (If I’m wrong on the years, someone correct me.)

Me- Age 17 because I started dating my future hubby at that age, it was my senior year of high school, and I was drum major of the Northview Marching Knights : )

Your turn…everyone leave me a comment telling me about your favorite age! I look forward to getting some comments on this entry!

It has to be age 19. I was away at school, I had a wonderful circle of friends, and was grown up enough to have fun, but not so grownup to be burdened by a full time job!

I would have to say that every age has been my favorite. 21-when I was married, the years I had my children and watched them grow up, their years of graduation and accomplishments, their dating, marriages, having my grandson. Every year of life is a new adventure, a new obstacle, a new learned lesson and something special to hold on to. Ask me in about 50 years when I turn 100 (God willing). I may be able to narrow it down some.

As far as I can tell...age 20 because I was out on my own living my own life without having to worry about too much. I think 65 will be a good age though because by then Tim and I should have our student loans paid off.
